Another test item emerged from the green room for a trial run on the little one. This particular design was inspired by a shirt a blog reader sent me that used to be her daughter's. How fun! These test pieces are made from muslin and whatever embellishments I have on hand. Little attention is paid to details when putting them together because I just need to see how the fit will be, so it goes quickly. The real deal will take much longer.
I wasn't planning on announcing every design I have for my spring shop update, but there is little else to report on, so I decided to give you one more sneak peak. This jacket will be made out of a linen blend. I am really loving the linen/cotton blends because they are much easier to wash than 100% linen and do not wrinkle as easily. Perfect for children's wear!
The little one seemed to like it, or maybe she was just overjoyed to see the camera pointing at her again. The jacket seemed to fit well and now I just have the task of making the pattern in five different sizes! But it's cute, isn't it?!
