Open!
Well, I know I hinted about updating the shop on Wednesday, but I went ahead and added things last night. The entire process for this update has taken so long and I've worked very hard. Not a day went by without me working away on a pattern. It's been over two months of constant tweaking, changing, throwing ideas out and welcoming new ones in, searching for just the right fabrics, and finally the testing (oh, that muslin...).
I hope these new items reflect the growth I've made with my sewing. Most of the patterns were from scratch, the others inspired by vintage patterns. The patterns took me the longest. I made up to five test pieces for a single pair of pants before I found the perfect fit. It was exhausting, but very rewarding in the end.
The little one graciously allowed me to try each item on her and snap away with my camera. (Of course, the animal cookies helped too.) So I have an actual child modeling my clothing! It's nice to see them in action and I think adds some playfulness to my shop. Each item is made to order, which is something I haven't done before, but I think it is a more practical process.
I have two more items I am adding this week, and more to follow! I'm thinking hard about some tops more suited to the little lads. So please keep checking back. I'll probably make a small announcement here when I do. Please hop on over to my shop and let me know what you think!

Oh Erin,they are lovely.
I love the pleat on the front of the cropped pants.
Elisabeth did a fantastic job modeling for you.Is that linen blend the 'essex'?that is what I have been using,I really like the way that it washes.

Wow Erin! They are just lovely!
You have certainly come a long way! I am just beginning my sewing journey and I find you very inspirational. I made my first skirt on Thursday after using the machine for only a little over an hour, with no pattern. It was a challenge and by no means is it a perfect little thing, but it was very satisfying!
Congratulations! =)

Yes, Please more things for the little lads- for me! Everything is so lovely. Great work. I am looking at the bloomers for my little guy. Do you think you can make them not too tight for extra chubby thighs?

Beautiful!-- I love the little pleats on the pants. Good work with all of it!-- Wishing you many sales...

Thank you all so much! You all make me feel so wonderful :)
Tava- the bloomers are pretty baggy already, but if you're talking about the ties, you can adjust those to whatever size your little guy's legs are. If you meant something different, let me know. I'm always happy to see if I can work something out!
Emilie-Yay for skirts!! A skirt was one of my first projects I used a pattern for. Is it on your blog? Off to check...
zainab-The first blog? (shudder) Oh my! You have been following a while :) Glad you're still reading. What fun! Thanks for your sweet compliments.

Your new stuff does seem to be a marked difference from your other clothes and it's refreshing to see a wardrobe that has its own "signature", rather than the same-old same-old things that are "out there" by crafters. Love the choice in fabrics. Love the pants with the buttons at the bottom. If I had girls I would definitely be interested in purchasing these clothes. They have a certain quality to them. Good choices and good work Erin.
