Spring!
Okay, I know just about every week I've mentioned how spring is here, and then the next day we end up getting more snow. But I truly, honestly, definitely think it's right around the corner. Definitely. Because I have to believe that, or I think I might go a little crazy thinking about more white fluffy flakes falling from the sky.
Let me show you a bit of evidence that spring is indeed close, if not here already...
Diapers drying on the line outside. (I won't mention that when I brought them in at 8 p.m. that they were frozen solid...)
Lambs! They really are that adorable.
Going for a hike, followed by two pregnant goats.
The first flowers finally popped up in our yard. Let's not think about the two feet of snow directly behind me that has yet to melt.
My new mud boots. The most comfortable footwear I have ever owned. The little one now has a puddle jumping competitor. We spent almost two hours outside yesterday jumping in and out of puddles. Seriously, I never realized how fun it was.
And Stephen started up the tractor for the first ride of the season. After the little one got over the tractor fumes and really loud engine, she enjoyed the ride quite a bit!
I hope spring is finding you all too! Enjoy your weekend and see you back here on Monday.

oh my Erin! haha--I just got the same boots! Aren't they fantastic? I am in love with them! I got the tall cream ones---the only downfall of the tall ones is that it can get really warm in there! but, other than my clogs and flip flops (one day again), these are by far the most comfortable footwear... ok-I'm gushing a bit too much about boots. But, they are are very important part of living in these parts.
I am so behind on putting my line back up--except that I need my husbands height to do it. The benefits of living with a 6'4 man!...
Great tractor too!

Thank you for visiting my Blog, and for your comments. You should give quilting a go, i think you'd be good at it. Isn't it lovely to see washing on the line. I just couldn't get away with washable nappies/diapers so i ended up using 100% biodegradeable disposables, wipes and nappy bags.
Have a lovely weekend

oh my sister would love that diaper shot! She uses cloth on her kiddos.
I'll have to show her =)
We are headed up to LL Bean tomorrow to get some "mud" boots...My boys beg of me to splash in the puddles with them and I do not have any of the proper footwear.
Are the lambs yours? So cute!

Those lovely pictures just started my day off on a very nice note. I love the little lamb. It's time for me to start hanging out my laundry also.

Hi Erin,
Your pictures of Spring are so refreshing. They just make me so happy on a rainy day like today!
Thank you for your "all about me post". I realized that I think we have met! I think we were in the same hypno-birthing class at Parkview in the Summer of '06. I loved hearing about the way you live. My husband and I are currently saving and planning on building a yurt on a foundation and running it with solar power and heating with a pellet furnace. I would love to learn more about your experiences with solar power.

Love the pictures! I'm so sad that the rubber boots that I got for Signal for spring are already too small. Gah. The diapers on the line look great! We just got an indoor drying rack for our diapers and I'm loving it.

Oh, these pictures give me hope... Especially since it snowed all morning over here in NH! :( But we are seeing some signs of spring here as well, with buds beginning to swell and the snowbanks receding slightly. I am sad to report that my beloved clothes line still has FEET of snow under it, yet to melt!

Yeah, I just totally gave up hanging my diapers out this winter. I just put them by the fire to dry. But I finally got to put them out in the sun yesterday! So yes, spring must be here!

I love all of these photos---so representational of spring. We have some baby goats nearby and my daughter is pleading to get a goat for herself... They are adorable.
I love those little knitted hats! We have a strawberry hat, too. The other one looks handspun----is it?

The wellies, goats and diapers...I knew it had to be Spring.
What a fun, sweet ode to the season.
Made me smile
