Early morning coloring.
It's fascinating to see children's artistic abilities change as they get older. Messy lines soon give way to circles with faces and legs, or a concentrated tracing of the hand.
Button necklaces.
A favorite activity while mama sews: making button necklaces. Doorknobs are the perfect place to hang them.
New pants for a special little guy.
Made from navy linen. They are so soft and super cute!
Spending time in the sewing room, trying to finish my grand list of "to-dos."
This is the new Oliver + S pattern. I hardly ever use patterns, and after I finished this one I remembered why...the fit is never right! But I love the front design on this pattern, which was the reason I bought it in the first place. I used the 2T size, but they are huge and might not fit until next year. I found the directions very easy to follow, which was nice because I usually feel pattern lingo is insanely hard to understand!
And the polka-dots? That sweet light-weight corduroy came from here.
