The little one slept in this morning. We had a big day yesterday...hiking, birthday parties, a musical that went a wee bit past her bedtime last night. So this morning when I opened my eyes I was surprised to see it was late and that she was still sleeping. She was so cozy. I quietly tiptoed downstairs to get my camera and snapped these photos of my baby sleeping.
This summer has been so nice. It's really been close to perfect. The days are growing cooler, the blankets are once again on the beds at night, and we are finding ourselves slowing down a bit, anticipating the end of a sweet season and the welcoming of a new one.
We still have more gardening to do, more berry picking and jam making, more beach days, camping trips, hikes to the tops of favorite mountains, backyard parties, and dips in the lake. I don't want to be anywhere but here, right now. Because right now is perfect.
