a wee bit of this and that from the last few days.
we had our first BBQ with friends over the weekend. and our first beers of the year too. i can't get over our backyard...right on the water. we hear the waves lapping the shore, the seagulls squawking overhead, and the boats going back and forth. the little one set up her toys on the picnic blanket and played while i sat in the sun, reading a magazine until our friends arrived. i have a feeling we'll be doing this a lot this summer.
today we broke for a studio siesta out on the back picnic table by the river. we were all chatting and brainstorming and eventually broke out a bottle of wine, continuing to chat away, feeling grateful for living creative lives and working hard at it. it was the perfect afternoon. rain was expected, but the sun decided to return and we wanted to soak it up while it lasted. D found me two four leaf clovers.
tonight i'm headed to a girl's night out at a friend's house. so fun.
