well, it certainly is interesting not having a yard. especially being the big gardener that i am. i think it's most likely been the biggest, and hardest, transition for me with settling into this new space.
but we're trying to make the best of it! i've been collecting pots here and there, and researching shady plants. the only space we really have is in the front which is north facing, so the sun doesn't last long.
i do have some potted basil, tomato plants, and chard in pots in the back which get lots of sun. but there is a family of groundhogs who love to munch on them. so we'll see how they do...
but for now, i'm pretty happy with my wee garden. the little one and i had so much fun putting it together. i'm in search of a little cafe table and chairs to have tea and breakfast outside in the morning.
and, of course, there's fun in the mud. she had mud pies for sale last week...so cute!
how's your garden coming? anyone else dealing with lack of a yard?!
