I wanted to update you all on the Eyes Open e-course...the start date is fast approaching and it's been an absolute thrill and pleasure to work on! I wanted to take a moment to answer some questions I've received:
Do I need a fancy camera to take this course?
Nope, you don't! As long as you're interested in learning more about the basics of photography, want to learn how to add some creativity to your life, and be inspired by other photographers and artists, then you will love this course! You can use your phone camera, a point and shoot, film camera, or digital SLR!
Is this course for beginners?
This course is designed to provide you with a GOOD solid foundation about photography basics, and the opportunity to put those basics to use. So if you know absolutely nothing about photography, you will learn plenty! And if you know some, but don't feel completely comfortable navigating your camera, you will become comfortable with these skills. If you're pretty familiar with your camera and the basics of photography, you will be inspired by the guest posters, the creative living piece, and learn plenty about "breaking the rules" and developing your own unique style!
How much of a time committment is the 6 week course?
The great thing about this course is all of the lessons will be available for 8 weeks online...that's two months! Not only that, but the main lessons will be available in a PDF format to download so you can keep the information forever! I would say you can put as much time into it as you can and you will still benefit from this course, whether it's an hour here or there, or a couple of hours a day!
