it was a windy day yesterday. really windy. we were supposedly experiencing the tail end of a tropical storm, which resulted in some clouds and a whole lot of wind.
so what did we do? we headed right for the hills for some kite flying. the little one made a kite at summer camp this year, and although we couldn't really get it to fly properly, she was still proud of it. we brought an extra, just in case.
we ran through the fields, giggling at the kites going up and promptly zooming towards the ground. then we finally got one of them flying, and we clapped and cheered and watched it fly through the sky.
