it's that time of year where i stare longingly at my camera.
there is sits, on the top of my open camera bag, waiting...
for you see, that camera spends a whole lot of time in my hands during the summer and fall. some 9 hour days. long days where my fingers eventually go numb from holding the weight of it (i don't use a strap!), and i find myself just needing a break from it.
i turn to my film cameras or iPhone more. and then there were the 5 rolls of 120 film i shot with my new medium format that came back blank. apparently the shutter was fused shut and i didn't know it. a bit of frustration...photos from all over. GOOD photos, i was certain. oh well. it's kind of magical having all of these shots in my head. these amazing moments i captured that will never be seen again. but they are stuck forever in my mind. pretty cool.
but i felt bad for neglecting my digital camera today, so i picked it up and snapped these photos from my morning routine. tea, eggs, darkness (it's been rainy for days), me unshowered and groggy, and bits and pieces from this space we will soon leave.
this weekend i have some mini-sessions with some fabulous peeps (if we don't need a rain date!). then mark and i are heading to a super amazing space to do a photo shoot with oodles of cameras and tons of props. i'm launching a personal portfolio site this winter, so i'm gathering work for that.
and just because...here is something that is amazing.
happy friday, my friends. and have a fabulous weekend! xoxo
