with all the packing and painting and moving and everything in between, this halloween i found myself completely unable to make a homemade costume. she wanted to be Pippi Longstocking in the worst way, and i had some pretty grand ambitions of making the apron dress, finding the appropriate stockings, and possibly making some kind of Alfonzo horse for her to ride. but without a sewing machine, i had no way of doing it.
but i think her costume worked out pretty well. we put it all together from things we had at home. she really enjoyed it, almost more than all the elaborate costumes i've made in the past.
