oh, the school rhythm. the early, dark mornings. the packing of lunches and making of breakfasts. getting dressed and ready and out the door to the bus stop on time.
we're all feeling the affects of the new rhythm, but i think mostly the shift in weather. it was cold. then it got hot. right now we're cozied up in the studio working together while the thunderstorms roll by. two days ago we were wearing wool socks and sweaters, now i'm in a sundress and he in shorts. the weather has been shifting big time, which has in turn put a strain on our bodies. we're all feeling just a little bit off.
but we've managed to enjoy all of it, regardless of the new hectic schedule of school and activities after. ballet and violin start this week, and there is a rush to get dinner on the table at a reasonable hour. but it's all working, i think because i'm just so organized and intentional about it. everything falls in to place.
we're gearing up for a weekend of birthday festivities. she'll be seven. SEVEN! how did that happen? she requested an "art party" and right now mark is prepping panels for all of the kids to paint, and i've been cutting out canvas for a banner for everyone to decorate for her room.
what are your weekend plans?
