I had the pleasure of being a guest and a photographer at the fabulous Rhea and Ollie's wedding. You may know of Rhea from here, where she runs a pretty skookum fabric store. She's one crafty lady and her wedding just rocked! We met two hours prior to the ceremony on the top of Cadillac Mountain. I mean, could there be a more gorgeous place to take photos of a bride and groom?!
They were a super sweet couple, and with one bridesmaid and one groomsmen, the photo possibilities were endless! We had so much fun. After the mountain, we headed down closer to the ceremony and reception site to an old stone carriage house. Rhea even opened the gate for a horse drawn carriage (after I moved my car that was parked right in their way!) and the woods were just amazingly gorgeous.
Rhea had many special touches to her wedding including fabric flowers, handmade quilts (with fabric from her shop!) lining the benches of the ceremony site for guests to cozy up in, homemade chive blossom vinegar, and a handmade quilt top for people to sign as a guestbook! So sweet!
Reception and Ceremony Site:: lawn of the Jordan Pond House, in Acadia
Catered by the Jordan Pond House
Dress :: Anthropologie
Boots :: Frye
Enjoy the preview!!
(probably my favorite photo of the day. a complete accident. totally overexposed. but i love it.)

Beautiful photos of what looks to have been a beautiful wedding. I love that the guest could cuddle up under quilts!
Makes me long to go back to Mount Desert Island! My brother and I went up two years ago this time of year and did a lot of hiking. :)

Lovely lovely Erin! Such a gorgeous capture of their special day, it was like being there.
Maybe I'll see you at Ashwood's All Hallow's Walk? This year, I won't be shy and I'll introduce myself!

The photos are amazing, but the one that choked me up was the groom in the baseball cap. Love that it was that personal, that comfortable. I know Rhea and you've captured her beauty and essence so wonderfully!
